WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO PRACTICE YOUR FAVORITE WATER SPORT?
The best wind conditions are between January to March, and June through to September.
There is an offshore reef that is about 600 meters off the beach. You can take lessons at any time of the year. With over 300 days of wind and waves, Cabarete is an ideal destination to visit at any time.
Do you need a wetsuit to practice your favorite water sport? Not really, but it’s up to you!
The water temperature is above 18 Celsius all year round, which means you can wear bikinis and board shorts every day. Summertime on the North Coast is the best for beginners and for all of you interested in taking lessons in your favorite water sport.
The wave season. The Dominican Republic’s North coast borders the Atlantic Ocean and has the most consistent surf swell year-round. If surfing is your main goal, the best conditions are typically from September to the end of April. The summer months offer calmer, smaller conditions perfect for longboarding and learning to surf, so there truly are waves year round.
